Rated 5 out of 5 by from the best iron ever, i will never go without again First...i love the fact it has an extra long cord , also it heats up extra fast. i really love the i-touch feature its very convenient and you can also choose to turn off this i-touch feature , i also think when buying an expensive iron from Quilters stand point the tip of the iron is very important as well , i love the small tip of this iron it glides perfectly on my small Quilting seams , the last thing is the durability of this iron, i had it for 3 years now, and i have never had a hitch with it !!! helpful info. i do not ,will not use this iron for any heat n bond or any sticky craft work etc... , i have a less expensive iron for that

Not having to sit it up whenever I need to stop ironing for a moment is such a convenience. I can even just take my hand off the handle without moving it off my fabric. I’ve had 2 of them, not because the first broke, but because I bought the one for quilting that has the long cord and doesn’t shut off for 30 minutes so I can sew & press without having to wait for it to reheat every time. I gave my first one to my daughter. We both love them. The only thing that I wish was different is that I’m not able to completely empty the water from the reservoir when I’m finished using it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Went through two, neither held up I was given the first iron as a mothers day gift from my family. They all chipped in because the cost was high. I loved the pop down foot feature. It eliminated the worry of the iron tipping over. Unfortunately, the first one had to be returned because the foot function stopped working. I was sent a replacement for no charge. It worked well for about a year and stopped heating. Since it was beyond the warranty period, the cost to have it repaired was $70. Instead of repairing and investing more money on top of the $200+ my family paid; I bought a $20 iron, it's reliable and works quite well.

I first bought this iron at the Road to California show and liked it until something melted inside and it began smoking and dripping hot plastic from the steam holes onto the ironing board and the floor. I returned that one and the replacement iron spewed hot steamy water all over quilt pieces I was trying to press (the steam feature was not on). Returned THAT one and requested a refund but was told it had been too long since purchase so they sent me ANOTHER iron which I absolutely did not want, did not trust, and eventually gave it (unopened!) to a quilting group who was willing to give it a chance.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointment I really wanted to like this iron. It is my second one. I had it in yellow and less than a year later, it leaked. Oliso replaced it and allowed me to trade it in for pink which was awesome. I treat my irons with respect but use them frequently as I'm a quilter. The cover plate turns brown and is difficult to clean. I use bottled water as recommended and yet, it just is a disappointment. Sometimes it doesn't get hot and othertimes it clearly is too hot. Sometimes it leaks, and sometimes it doesn't. I really love the pink iron and really love the heat when it works right......but it doesn't work right!

Unfortunately, they had none available to take, and promised to send them as soon as manufactured. The only good thing is that it did come in a few weeks as promised. The lift system on the iron stopped working within a month. Since it was under warranty you did send a new one. Unfortunately, the irons heating element stopped working after a year, which meant it was no longer under warranty. I was told I could send it back (my expense) and you would fix it (at my expense). Much cheaper to buy a new iron. Would not recommend to anyone. One star is too high a rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied I have had my Olisio for about 3 years and am very satisfied. I am a quilter and use this iron exclusively. I researched quite a bit before purchasing and found that there were actually some mixed reviews but I purchased and am very glad I did. The Smart technology of not having to set the iron up is so very helpful. I found that the iron does not take long at all to heat back up after it goes into cool mode which is nice also. Overall, I am very satisfied and actually recommended that my sister get one when she was ready to purchase a new iron. She has had hers for a couple of months and is very satisfied with her iron as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Satisfied I've only had my Olisio 1600 for 5 months, but compared to the many irons I've purchased over the years, this iron gives me the same experience as the old irons with the fabric on the cord!!! I iron all of my clothes, including t-shirts and jogging suits and pajamas. And this iron handles all types of materials well. I'm just learning to sew, and it's great for my projects. The 30 minute shut off is wonderful. The iTouch feature is an added bonus. It gives great steam. Works well with no steam. And I love the fact you can use tap water!!! The only drawback is the price, but you really can't put a fair price on quality!!! I love it though!!!

How do you empty the water out when you finish using the iron?

Hi Louis here is how to empty the water tank To Empty: Fill the water tank and heat the iron to the linen fabric setting. Once the iron is fully heated, unplug the iron and hold over the sink. Press the steam button repeatedly until water begins to drip out of the soleplate. CAUTION! Be careful, as this creates large amounts of steam. Mineral deposits from tap water can occur in the sole plate vents: To ensure optimal steam production, the steam valve should be regularly cleared of accumulated debris and minerals. This is done by moving the steam selector back and forth form the off to the max steam settings several times.

You may use the mini iron to work in your country as it has multi voltage and can toggle between 220 volts to 110 volts depending on the voltage.

what makes the yellow version a Quilters iron over the purple one?

The yellow iron that is TG1600 comes with 3 years warranty it has 30 mins auto shut off and has 12 feet power cord, on the other hand the purple one TG1100 comes with 8 mins auto shut off and has 11 feet power cord.

TG1600 models comes with 3 years warranty, the rest TG models comes with 1 year warranty, apart from that if the warranty if over we charge a replacement fee of $29.99 or $39.99 depending on which model you have and we send a new replacement and you do not have to send back the old one back.
